As we age our eyes are often the first part of our body that begin to show their age. The muscles around the eye begin to relax causing the lower eyelids to appear baggy and the upper eyelids to sag.

Circles and bags can develop under the eyes along with ‘crow’s feet’ and lines and wrinkles around the eyes. This effect is accentuated by excessive sun exposure, poor diet and smoking.

Eye rejuvenation treatments refer to techniques designed to rejuvenate the appearance of the eye and eyelid area, known as the ‘peri-orbital’ or ‘peri-ocular’ region.

Many men and women each year undergo surgical treatments related to eye rejuvenation (eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty), eye bag removal, browlift etc.), making it the second most common cosmetic procedures performed.

How it works

A simple procedure with dramatic results
NeoGen™ plasma skin regeneration around the eye is a simple procedure that takes between 10 and 15 minutes. Using plasma energy, NeoGen creates new life for your skin at its very foundation, replacing old damaged collagen with significant amounts of new collagen—the key to quality, long-lasting improvement.

Clinical tests show unparalleled improvement in wrinkling, skin laxity and skin texture with plasma skin regeneration. One study shows a mean 22% improvement in upper eyelid skin tightening and a mean 35% improvement in peri-orbital wrinkles as a result of plasma skin regeneration treatment. There are different treatment regimens to choose from according to the severity of the problem being treated and the recovery time available. The great thing is restoration time with NeoGen compares very favourably to other procedures. It’s significantly shorter and post-treatment care is easier. Even with the most intense treatment, it usually takes just over a week for skin to be fully restored. At this time, makeup can be worn. With less intense treatments, there is no restoration time and make-up can be worn after just a few hours.

Fractional CO2 Treatment

Fractional CO2 laser treatment works by targeting both the epidermis and dermis. It does this by vaporising tiny columns of skin whilst leaving the surrounding areas untouched. This ablation stimulates a healing process which speeds up the skin’s natural renewal process during which the new skin cells form, new collagen is produced and clear rejuvenated skin is revealed. This ‘fractional’ treatment results in a faster healing process than if all the tissue in the treatment area was exposed to the laser.

NeoGen Plasma System

NeoGen Plasma treatments are performed only by NeoGen system from Energist Medical Group.
NeoGen converts nitrogen gas into plasma energy, the fourth state of matter. The plasma emerges from the handpiece in controlled pulses, delivering heating to the skin and stimulating a significant physiological response, whilst leaving the skin intact.
In contrast to laser and light energy sources, NeoGen is allowing the nitrogen plasma energy to impact the skin’s entire architecture. With a wide range of energy settings available, treatments can be tailored to a patient’s specific needs and requirements in regards to healing time.

Being at the forefront of fractional CO2 technologies, Energist has developed advanced systems and protocols to maximise the comfort, speed and effectiveness of the treatment.

FRx System

The FRx is a versatile fractionated CO2 system offering a range of treatment options enabling both gentle and aggressive treatment modalities. Its unique fibre delivery gives the practitioner increased ease of use in order to reach more difficult areas easily. The high speed of treatment reduces user fatigue and reduces treatment time for patients. At just 16kg, the MedArt FRx system is also highly manoeuvrable, enabling use in multiple locations.

Portrait Plasma Skin Regeneration: Treatment Protocols and Aesthetic Outcomes

Conclusions: Combining nitrogen plasma skin regeneration with aesthetic facial surgery enhances outcomes for procedures in the forehead and in the periorbital, midface, and perioral regions. It does not seem to increase the risk of dermatologic or surgical complications for the procedures described herein.

Conclusion: Plasma skin regeneration is a unique form of non-ablative resurfacing that is not chromophore dependent and does not result in vaporization of the epidermis, but leaves a layer of intact desiccated epidermis that acts as a natural biologic dressing and promotes rapid healing. PSR improves fine lines and moderate to deep rhytides and the texture and tone of photoaged skin. The broad range of energy settings enables the operator to individualize treatments and control the degree of injury and length of subsequent recovery time. PSR treatments have an excellent safety

profile. Permanent hypopigmentation and demarcation lines have not been observed, and prolonged erythema and scarring are rare. These characteristics have validated PSR as an excellent and versatile modality that offers a wide range of treatment options, and as such, it will undoubtedly command continued interest in the field of skin rejuvenation.
