Energist’s pulsed light and laser technology can allow your clinic to treat a variety of of vascular issues with fantastic results.
Vascular disorders such as thread veins (often called spider veins), cherry spots and broken capillaries, either red or bluish in colour are a common theme amongst people with lighter skin tones. Areas commonly affected are the face, neck, chest and lower extremities such as the legs, ankles and feet. Rosacea affects the face, typically on the cheeks and bridge of the nose.
Specific wavelength lasers and high powered pulsed light systems are suitable for the effective, long term removal of broken veins. UK Manufacturer Energist has the full range of systems to effectively treat such conditions – We have been designing and manufacturing vascular lasers for almost 20 years, and IPL systems for more than 12 years.
All of our vascular systems, which are used by professionals worldwide, are FDA cleared and pass stringent testing and inspections to be badged as CE marked medical products.
How it works
Thread veins, spider naevi and cherry spots are conditions where small veins become visible on the skin’s surface.
During treatment by laser and light systems, energy is absorbed by the blood vessels that make up these imperfections. This absorption process breaks down the vessel walls, and following an effective treatment the body recognises these broken vessels as waste and removes them from the skin naturally.
Often only a single treatment is required to close veins or clear the imperfection. During treatment the smaller veins immediately contract and disappear, whereas larger vessels coagulate and are absorbed in due course.
Rosacea is a skin condition resulting in severe redness and spots on the face caused by the dilation of tiny blood vessels below the skin’s surface. Rosacea begins as outbreaks of flushing and redness on the face, but can also affect the neck, chest, scalp and ears. These blood vessels may become hyper-sensitive to certain triggers.
Energist treatments can help control the symptoms of rosacea, reducing redness and inflammation. The light energy is absorbed by the inflamed blood vessels, and the associated heating helps break these down. The body then recognises these broken vessels as waste and removes them naturally.
Both laser and pulsed light systems from Energist Medical Group are suitable for the effective, long term treatment of vascular conditions, and being at the forefront of both technologies Energist has developed advanced technologies to maximise the comfort and effectiveness of the treatment.
