NeoGen™ Plasma was recently featured in Singapore Tatler where Cambridge Therapeutics’ Dr Lee Mun Heng explains why NeoGen™ Plasma Skin Regeneration is the new alternative to laser treatment.
NeoGen™ Plasma is not to be confused with a laser device, this nitrogen plasma technology is not light-based but instead uses thermal energy to modify the entire architecture of the skin. Equivalent or even improved results can be achieved using NeoGen™ when compared with ablative procedures. Importantly, results are achieved with minimal or no downtime, to variable downtime, depending on the treatment settings.
This non-ablative technology resurfaces the skin’s epidermis without the risk of infection. The epidermis remains intact and creates a natural dressing to provide protection and speed up the healing process. Following treatment, increased fibroblast activity, neocollagenesis and elastosis occur in the dermis and continue regenerating for up to 12 months post treatment.
Unlike traditional lasers, NeoGen™ Plasma is chromophore dependent and it can therefore safely and effectively treat patients of various ethnicities.
