Energist Unveil NeoGen™ Plasma Skin Regeneration System at FACE Conference, London
Energist Medical Group unveiled their new NeoGen™ Plasma Device at the FACE Conference in London at the weekend. Showing the new-look NeoGen system for the first time to UK aesthetic practitioners and the press, NeoGen was featured in a seminar and workshop where a full face and a peri-orbital live treatment was performed.
NeoGen is a unique technology using nitrogen plasma energy to deliver controlled heating to the skin architecture. This stimulates a significant physiological response without creating an open wound. NeoGen converts nitrogen gas into plasma, the fourth state of matter. The plasma which is delivered in controlled pulses to the skin gives a unique effect to the skin. The treated photo-damaged layers undergo controlled thermal modification, whilst remaining intact, creating a natural dressing to provide protection and speed healing. At high energies the epidermis sheds, but only after a new, healthier skin architecture is formed beneath.
Backed by numerous IRB clinical studies, NeoGen offers a range of treatment options, reducing deep wrinkles and acne scarring, removing epidermal pigmentation from face and non-face regions, and in addition offering significant skin tightening as evidenced in clinical studies. Continued neocollagenesis and reduction in elastosis is seen for up to 2 years post treatment.
NeoGen uniquely enables the practitioner to control the depth of the line of cleavage that forms between the shedding layer and newly formed epidermis, by adjusting the level of energy delivered to the skin. This gives the practitioner a full spectrum of treatment possibilities from subtle (with no downtime) to results comparable with full CO2 ablation (though with far shorter downtime).
At the FACE conference Dr Fabrice Rogge (Plastic Surgeon, Belgium) gave a presentation in the equipment programme on his experience offering nitrogen plasma treatment, referencing the clinical data and spectacular results seen after a single treatment. Dr Rogge also conducted a workshop where he conducted a full face NeoGen Plasma treatment, followed by a peri-orbital treatment. NeoGen Plasma is the ideal peri-orbital treatment option, as both the upper and lower lids can be treated.
The launch sparked significant interest from both practitioners and the industry press, as this technology offers impressive results with stand-alone and adjunctive procedure options for plastic surgeons, dermatologists and aesthetic doctors.
