Energist Medical Group showcased their new and unique NeoGen Plasma Device at the CCR Expo in London at the weekend, performing live treatments for surgeons to see.
Dr Fabrice Rogge, Plastic Surgeon, Belgium, performed live demonstration NeoGen Plasma treatments throughout the show, attracting significant interest from Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and Aesthetic Doctors.
NeoGen was also featured on the live CCR demonstration stage, where a peri-orbital treatment was performed in from of a full audience.
Eddie Campbell-Adams, Global Marketing Manager at Energist notes: “We are very excited about the newly launched NeoGen Plasma System. We envisage the demand for Plasma treatments to be significant as surgeons, doctors and patients see the outstanding results”.
NeoGen is a unique technology using nitrogen plasma energy to deliver controlled heating to the skin architecture. This stimulates a significant physiological response without creating an open wound. NeoGen converts nitrogen gas into plasma, the fourth state of matter. The plasma which is delivered in controlled pulses to the skin causes a unique effect – the treated photo-damaged layers undergo controlled thermal modification, whilst remaining intact, creating a natural dressing to provide protection and speed healing. At high energies the epidermis sheds, but only after a new, healthier skin architecture is formed beneath.
Backed by numerous IRB clinical studies, NeoGen offers a range of treatment options, reducing deep wrinkles and acne scarring, removing epidermal pigmentation from face and non-face regions, and in addition offering significant skin tightening as evidenced in clinical studies. Continued neocollagenesis and reduction in elastosis is seen for up to 2 years post treatment.
NeoGen uniquely enables the practitioner to control the depth of the line of cleavage that forms between the shedding layer and newly formed epidermis, by adjusting the level of energy delivered to the skin. This gives the practitioner a full spectrum of treatment possibilities from subtle (with no downtime) to results comparable with full CO2 ablation (though with far shorter downtime). NeoGen offers impressive results for stand-alone and adjunctive procedure options for plastic surgeons, dermatologists and aesthetic doctors.
NeoGen gained particular interest from Ocular Plastic Surgeons who noted that the impressive peri-orbital results would give them a viable option to offer patients whose condition is not severe enough for blepharoplasty surgery. Plasma is the ideal peri-orbital treatment option, as both the upper and lower lids can be treated.
The hive of activity on the Energist Medical Group stand also sparked significant interest from industry and national press.
